First issued in 1996, as a result of the collaboration with the British Council in Romania, Cultural Perspectives. Journal for Literary and British Cultural Studies in Romania (ISSN 1224-239X) is a blind peer-reviewed journal, submissions being sent to 1-2 reviewers (see the website http://pubs.ub.ro/?pg=revues&rev=cp for details). The journal is published annually (at the end of December) by the “Alma Mater” PH, “Vasile Alecsandri” University of BacÄƒu, Romania. The abstracts, key-words, articles, editorials, reviews and manuscript guidelines are published in English. The thematic domains of the journal cover the interfering area between literature, cultural studies, discourse (discourse analysis, types of discourse etc.) and semiotics. Its main aim is to include different perspectives on cultural studies, coming from diverse research fields and exploiting data and tools offered by various critical approaches.
Each issue of the journal contains instructions for submissions of manuscripts and book reviews, and the topic of the next issue. The journal is also indexed in British Humanities Index (http://www.csa.com/factsheets/supplements/bhi.php) and in Central and Eastern European Online Library (www.ceeol.com/aspx/publicationdetails.aspx?publicationid)
The members of the editorial board belong to the academic staff from universities in Romania, Poland, Ireland and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. The contributors belong to universities in Europe, USA and Asia (up to the present moment), subscriptions and journal exchanges have been signed with similar institutions in Europe, Canada, USA, the Ukraine, Russia, the Republic of Moldova.
