| Abstract: In this study, we tested congruent validity of Turkish version of Mini Mental State Examination (MMSE) to the KKM (Kısa Kognitif Muayene : Short Cognitive Examination) test, the only test that was proved to be valid and reliable in Turkish population. For this purpose, we administered KKM, MMSE, and Reisberg’s Golbal Deterioration Scale on 71 probable Alzheimer’s patients. We found significant correlation between MMSE and KKM across all stages of dementia and all groups of education levels. We concluded that MMSE can be administired to Alzheimer patients as safely as KKM test | ||
