This journal was first published in 1971. Since then it has undergone many changes in the paper size, lettering, and quality of paper, but it has maintained it’s main aim of publishing results of the research works in medical field from academic staff from, primarily, all over Iran.
Scope of this journal is publishing the results of research works in medical sciences. This can be in the form of a case report, an epidemiological survey, a clinical or an experimental intervention.
Future strategies are improvement in the scientific quality of the published work and to make it available to wider readers all of over the world. Presently, in order to partially attained this aim, this journal is distributed free of charges to all subscribe institution concerned in medical sciences including libraries in Iran.
