Lithuanian journal "Paediatric Pulmonology and Allergology" publishing regulary since 1998 (total amount of printed pages 4031) is the first scientific journal of single medical society in Lithuania and sole pulmonologic and allergologic journal in Baltic countries. Founder and owner of the journal is Lithuanian Paediatric Respiratory Society. Since 2003 it is official journal of Lithuanian Association of ERS (European Respiratory Society) members too. Publication rate was 4 issues per year in the period 1998 - 2001. Since 2002 it is half-yearly journal (100-150 pgs., 800-1000 copies per issue). The journal is accepted scientific articles prepared on original data, translated articles from ISI list of scientific journals (written permission of publisher is required) and review articles. Each submitted article pass through international board of reviewers (minimum 2 statements of reviewers is required), acceptance rate 60-70 perc. Time after submission of accepted article and publication less than 6 months. No publication fee for the author of the article. No direct industry support of the journal, some irregular support of Lithuanian Ministry of Science and Education. As a rule new issue of the journal publishing just before national pulmonologic and/or allergologic conference and distributed among registered participants as official print material of the meting. It increase distribution of print copies of the journal from 255 (official number of subscribers) up to 500-600 per issue. |
